Situated on the banks of the Mandovi River, Panjim is the capital of Goa. It is connected to the mainland by bridges. It must be said that a visit to Panjim is truly incomplete without a trip to Fontainhas. This colorful colonial neighborhood is one of the only Latin Quarters in Asia, and also one of the most visited places in Goa. As luck would have it, the festival venue is just a stone’s throw away from here. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants around, and with its charm of old Portuguese architecture, quaint art galleries, and beautiful churches - this unique part of Goa is steeped in history.

With a deep appreciation for the genre’s passion and elegance, Manish likes to blend classical and modern orchestras for a rich and immersive dance experience.
In the last 12 years, he has been invited to DJ in Berlin, Bali and various other Tango Festivals & Marathons in India.
Ajinkya’s DJ philosophy is: "I want you to dance with your subconscious.”
His favourite orchestras are Di Sarli, Troilo and Tanturi. As a DJ, he is known for being dramatic with high energy - these are the unique styles that he brings to the dance floor.
Una's selections are primarily from the Golden Age, with occasional picks from the late 1920s, 1950s and beyond.
She believes the essence of TDJ'ing is much like social dancing – we bring the best that we've got to the floor and see what sparks can be created in the moment.
Shrek started his journey as a leader, but given the paucity of followers during Bangalore's tango inception days & as a necessity to express himself through Tango - he discovered his passion as a follower too.
Identifying himself as queer, he enjoys teaching both roles, as well as classes on musicality and DJing skills.
Yuvee's sets are strongly inspired by the dramatic intensity of Osvaldo Pugliese’s music, with his playlists mirroring that same powerful, emotional depth.
His passion for music led him to create the orchestra, Essencia del Tango, with Qadeer and Vinoo on the violins. The orchestra was unveiled at Hyderabad’s Elysium event in June 2024.
Nayan enjoys music of many genres and has been DJ at dances with 50 % TMV and 50% other rhythms.
Nayan believes in choosing music based on the dancers in attendance. He believes that a DJ has to optimize many factors while selecting music: the energy of dancers, dancing experience, and room acoustics, to name a few.
The Goa International Tango Festival 2024 is going to be located in the heart of Panjim! We are delighted to announce The Crown Goa as the festival venue for this year. From this lovely hotel perched up on a small hill, you can get clear glimpses of the River Mandovi. There will be some beautiful views from the hall where classes, practicas and milongas will be held. The hotel also houses a small casino, so If you are feeling lucky, place a bet in between some tandas.
As the festival venue is in the heart of the Panjim town close to the iconic Latin Quarter, also known as Fontainhas, we strongly recommend that you stay in this area and experience the Portuguese charm of the city's oldest district.
This is a 5-star property where the festival will take place. We have negotiated special rates for all Tango dancers.
Please note rooms will be subjected to availability at the time of confirmation with 100% payment.
